Abstract The Cranbrook Skating Club began as an outgrowth of the Cranbrook Arena Committee. It operated from January 12, 1957 until 1982. It was designed and constructed by Chas. R. Gerhardt Knodel directed the Cranbrook Academy of Art from 1996-2007. Before that, Knodel served as the Fiber department's artist-in-residence since 1970.
